Senior Year Chronicles

It feels like I can just remember ordering my new Comp Sci High uniform and coming into school with my long ginger braids with curls like it was yesterday. Believe it when they say time flies, because it really does.

JUNE 26! I assume you know it's around the corner. It is the day we graduate and leave behind our cherished moments of high school. Who would have thought this was the ending? The vibes, memories, activities, and devotion as a whole grade has come to a finale. BOOM, we are in the month of June. It feels like I can just remember ordering my new Comp Sci High uniform and coming into school with my long ginger braids with curls like it was yesterday. Believe it when they say time flies, because it really does.

It was the month of September when everything was new to me except faces. I was so happy to see my friends and teachers. My face lit up to see such a wonderful senior class thrive as a whole. I remember when it was 2020 and no one knew who was who. I can say we've grown past these few years and collectively came together. I will miss the class of 2024. Here's a little poem that embodies my senior year:

In the hallways where we've grown

There’s been laughter, lessons, memories well known.

The fun trip nights and mornings bright,

An the dreams we've chased with all our might

Freshman fears are now senior pride,

Memories made, side by side,

Caps and gowns, the end is near,

Those new beginnings: shall I fear?

Bittersweet moments we will long retain

In our hearts, forever will remain.

There will be new adventures, filled with cheer.

Farewell, dear old senior year.

The poem I wrote was how I felt about my senior year. We have come a long way despite all the drama that has happened. The community meetings we have had as a grade, and the rigorous lectures given by staff members not only made our senior class come together but also made us learn and grow.

TO MY SENIOR CLASS,

Together I could say I wish nothing but the best for you all. We're all going our own ways and doing what's best for us. There are so many more memories to come but there's nothing that can compare to our high school memories. It has been a pleasure being a student, classmate, friend, athlete, and much more at Comp Sci High. Till the 26 of June comes, all I can say is that “WE MADE IT”!

Farewell, dear old senior year. That was it. The free trial is over.
